Great sites! I'm after a bit of a 50s dress - I love tea length ones! I spent saturday trying on these http://timelesschic.co.uk/CollectionByTimelessChic.aspx
but they're a bit more than i wanted to pay. These sites are excellent!saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.

Oh they are lovely - I want the Lorraine, I want it NOW. Not to get married in, just to swish about in and feel pretty!

What about getting one made, for my clients I can work to any budget and you will find most dressmakers are the same. People often assume having a bespoke dress will be expensive but because you have the flexibilty of choosing the fabrics and all the fittings are included in the price, plus you avoid alteration costs it can often be the far cheaper alternative!0

Have a look on ebay for the Timeless Chic dresses... they've been selling off a lot of samples and I've managed to pick my dress up for £132 (it should've been £520).

I think some of the 1950s style dresses weren't bid on so it might be worth contacting them to see what they have left.
EDIT: Just noticed that this was an ancient thread
