It looks expensive to me but im not very techie so might be wrong0

It's not really bad - Just that the Processor it's using is a bit of 'diet' one.... which is known as 'Celeron' or 'Celeron D'. Now if u don't plan on doing any heavy-dury work like video editing or serious gaming etc... it'll probably be fine.

Packard bell computers are a dog with fleas, avoid at all cost. They have put a fast Intel processor in it, and then skimped on the ram. The quality of the parts used in this computer is poor at best, especially the motherboard.
The hard drive is tiny by today’s standards. The difference in price between an 80 GB and a 160 GB are just a few pounds, but they have sought to cut cost to increase their profit margin.
Most computer shops will build you a faster better specified computer for around £100 less.
Look for quality parts such as Gigabyte mother boards, Maxtor hard drives, and Nvidia graphics cards. Try to aim for at least 512mb of DDR 400 ram. While most motherboards include a sound chip onboard, if you are into gaming look for a creative Audigy soundcard as well.As tight as two coats of paint0 -
