holiday pay occured during maternity leave - bank holidays??

hello all,

im about to get paid all of my holiday pay as i have handed in my notice after my maternity leave had finished. my maternity leave was between jan and october. There have been 3 or 4 bank holidays in that time and i wondered if i will be getting paid for them aswell?

    do you normally get paid for b/hs?

    there are actually 6 bank holidays between 1st january and end of october

    Assuming you are fulltime, the minimum annual leave entitlement is now 28 days per year including bank holidays. Your employer can, however, decide to pay you more than this. You would have to check your individual contract to see if this is the case.

    They must therefore pay you a minimum of 2.33 days annual leave for every complete month that you were absent, provided that you had not already taken it prior to going on maternity leave.

    Check you contract. if bank holidays are awarded in addition to the minimum holiday payable by law (28 days per year) then its up tp employer how they award it.

    as above check your cxontract. when i was on mat leave i went back to work (so slightly different). because we are forced bh's off (office closed) my contract was somthing sillyy like and bh's in first 26 weeks i could add onto next years holiday. i lost the rest of them.
    loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    when i was getting my maternity pay of £123 a week i got this even when it was a week with a bank holiday in it? Is this correct?
