I own and operate a chocolate fountain rental company and have been doing very nicely all Summer with Weddings.
However the wedding season is all but over and I need to now turn my thoughts to Corporate Christmas parties..etc.
I have mailshot a few local companies and also emailed...but with no response.
I don't know that the right people have even seen my correspondence..so my question is....
Who is the best person to address this advertising material to?

Tough question, I suppose it depends on the size of the organisation and the type.
Where I work (a University) we have our own departmental Christmas party but we all go out somewhere so maybe you could offer your services to the big christmas party venues who in turn should have loads of bookings.
That way, you could try and get a contract with venues for all their Christmas parties and this could bring in lots of cash guaranteed for the whole christmas period, rather than just getting one company here and another there.
Back to the original question, try management or HR.

I thought it was more of a centrepiece thing!
Looks well nice though! :drool:0 -
Corporate people are very hard to get hold of. Human resources are hard to get hold of, and many departments will not tell you the name of the Human Resources Director. This is because Head Hunters are on the prowl!
Can you approach venues directly and offer your service as an add on for Christmas parties. When people book Parties they always look for the venue first, and as it is likely that loads of people will attend the Xmas Party, HR will want to keep costs down so they will approach large venues who can do a good price a head. Not all these venues will have chocalate fountains.0 -
I certainly would want to find out from the venues used if it is generally the company that brings the "entertainment" or if it is the venue that recommends it.
With the companies I have worked for it has tended to be one of the most senior managers PAs for the location that organises these sorts of eventsAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
