Hello, up until a few days ago we received freeview in all rooms of our house via freeview tvs. when i went to put on cbeebies in the kitchen (or else my sanity wanes) for my little boy to watch half an hour of it all i got was a blank screen saying no signal. Ii thought he'd messed around with the settings so i re-scanned but it only found about 3 radio stations and yesterday channel. i tried and tried again but nothing. i tried the other tvs and nothing on them at all. ive been up into the lost and checked all wires but all looks fine as does the aerial. ive been onto the freeview site and can see no problems with transmitters ( i think im reading it right) so im at a loss. we've got my parents staying with us for a few months who was hoping to watch their tv in their room but now can't. if anyone has any ideas at all i'd be very grateful as im all out now. many thanks in advance.
ive also reset the tvs as the sites state by unplugging, searching blank channels and plugging in again, still nothing on any tvs all but 1 with yesterday, itv4 and some music channels. a transmitter in kent is showing maintanence but says not effecting digital channels

It is almost certainly an aerial problem, do you have a splitter/booster fitted anywhere to the aerial system, if yes, check that.0

Haven't switched off a signal booster by accident? If I flick the wrong wall switch for the wrong socket the freeview box is on the TV is on but no signal.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

we have only lived in this house for 6 months and the previous owners have a box in the loft that beams sky into all rooms (controlled by main tv) which i have checked all leads to and checked the fuse in plug but its all correct. we have a normal tv booster in the kitchen which i swapped with a spare we had and still get nothing. nothing found when i remove all boosters either. no-one has touched our roof aerial. come to think of it there was a lead that had been pulled out somehow in the loft from the box junction thing, i think the rf lead but that was put back in by me when i went up yesterday, i unscrewed it and double checked it this morning when i gave it another go, the other end of that wire is fine where it comes in from outside and has spare curled up (loosely) so it hasnt been pulled out that end. thanks for helping.A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

Almost certainly a booster problem ...do you have a masthead amplifier (looks like a small box usually attached at base of aerial mast)...either that has failed, or the power supply that supplies it has been turned off or failed.0

i have looked at the aerial, there is no box on the aerial but there is one half way down the wall. this is the set up, i hope it makes sense.
we have 4 bedrooms upstairs, a living room and a kitchen downstairs, all with tv points. from the outside at the very top in an aerial lead going into the loft. on the left is a lead from the loft and coming down into the living room. then there are 2 leads coming out from the bottom of where the loft is, coming down the wall, now one splits off and goes into where our room is, the other lead goes into a white coloured box. out of the opposite side of the box is another lead and goes into where my sons room is. from the bottom of the white box comes another lead and goes into the kitchen where the tv point is.
in the loft is a black box with 2 leads going in at the side, i think one is the rf lead that had come out and ive put back. out of the top of that box is 4 leads that disappear into the 4 bedrooms it appears (disappear into a sea of lagging but can trace 2 into our boys rooms). these leads are all held in place with plastic wire holders and none of the dust has been disturbed so ive no reason to think they have been pulled out. this black box has a green light on it and the plug is directly plugged in to power source in loft.
im very grateful for all of your helpA happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0 -

You can only get 3 radio channels and Yesterday on freeview?
What is the picture like with Yesterday's channel?
Could you borrow another working freeview box and try that just to check if yours is not working properly or if its an aerial problem or take your box round to a neighbours and try it there.0 -
ive got all freeview tvs. i have got an old freeview box i got ages ago, i can try that and get back to you.A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

It sounds like the amplifier (black box with green light on) has died. You need to experiment with a joiner adaptor ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Coax-TV-Aerial-Adaptor-Coupler-Joiner-Coaxial-Gold-F-F-/260405839210?pt=UK_ConElec_TVAerials_RL&hash=item3ca165c56a ) available from any DIY shed or poundshop and join the input lead from the aerial to one of the four output leads, bypassing the amplifier, and see if any of the tv's work (then mark the cable as to where it serves). I get the same if I switch my amp off so it seems a fair possibility yours has died.0
