Firefox Bookmarklets %20 error

No idea if anyone here is gonna be able to help, but I don't know the solution - nor do my friends..so, here goes...
I spend far too much time on a facebook app, and I'm involved with the scripting community which has built up around the game (no, not cheating)
Sometimes when I create a new bookmark, and drag the javascript of the BM into the bar (or rather copy>paste) all of the spaces in the bookmarklet get converted to %20, which then kills the BM
This problem doesn't occur in chrome, or all BMs - but i'm not yet happy to move over, as some things just don't work properly there

becomes
javascript:%20var%20temp=document.evaluate(%20"//a[@title='This%20will%20cost%20
