I would also recommend Cornwall, but try not to travel on a Saturday/ bank hol weekend to avoid the worst traffic.

I'm desperately trying to persuade my OH that we can still have a week in Cornwall like we have every year for the last few years - we usually stay in a caravan at St Ives Bay Holiday Park - fantastic views over the bay and a really nice beach just the other side of the (very steep !) sand dunes.

Unless I dreamt it there was some discussion about cheap, delivered rockwool insulation for Welsh addresses on here just now (evening of 13th Jan 2011).

I ordered some rolls throu same deal last year at a £1 a roll, trouble is the delivery guy just dumps them on the drive or front garden. I had to move and cover 24 rolls in the pouring rain on a day when i wasnt expecting them.

That siad, once dried out and placed in loft they work a treat and had a few rolls left that I sold at £1 each (no need to be greedy!!)

I have had my Rockwool delivered from Robert Price Monmouth Branch, the driver helped me carry the rolls to the shed. It depends how busy they are and how many drops if they will help. The insulation was a bargain, i bought it online at insulateyourloft.co.uk Going to install over the weekend once I have cleared the loft. Anything to reduce my heating bill
