I bought this the last time they had this deal- the calculator seems to over estimate the amount of insulation you need- well it did for me anyway- but probably better that way than finding you havnt got enougth and then having to buy more at the expensive price....sold my excess rolls on ebay and it went for more than the price of the whole lot cost under this deal so made a profit and got loft insulated...true money saving

hombase are doing rolls for same price, its not the itchy stuff either

b+q also doing the same but think its £3.40..

only downside is you would need to colllect where as this offer is delivery.

The homebase ones at £3 are better value then the npower rockwool at £3 - as they cover a bigger area than the rockwool ones. Though you do have to collect.

BUT, they're out of stock at all the homebase stores (7 of them within 30 mile radius) that I've checked online. So don't go out to buy them until you've checked they got them...

The npower rockwool offer is very good though - far better value than the rockwool type stuff at Homebase, Wickes, Focus etc. And delivered too.

But I'm waiting for Homebase - you can register to be emailed when they have it back in stock.

Update - just had three automated emails from 3 homebase stores saying:
You recently asked to be notified when Carbon Zero Loft Insulation - 170mm was back in stock at Homebase.

Unfortunately we will not be receiving further stocks of this product in XYZ store.

Can we offer our apologies and suggest you click https://www.homebase.co.uk to view availability at other stores, or alternatively select a different product.

So, it looks like the homebase offer for that type of insulation is over once they're out of stock, they only have the rockwool style stuff now, and for that the npower offer is much better value. I've found a few homebase stores that still have the better-value stuff, but they're too far away and they say that these can't be reserved.

No the Homebase rolls are made from recycled glass (glass fibre)

Just noticed there's still no link, within this thread, to the original offer posted by the OP (wex) yet, so here it is:
