How do I know if my dvd player is multiregion?

Please how do I know if I have managed to make my dvd multiregion? Bought tesco value dvd this afternoon. I think I have followed the instructions properly to make it multiregion as it says on SET UP 255. The only problem is I could not play a copy of Rosemary Conley keep fit and copy of some photos I had in a CD. On my cheapp starlogic dvd, I could play them with no problem. I am wondering whether it is possible I have not made it multiregion. Advice please. Thanks

It may not be cpable of playing CDs with photos - not a multi-region problem just not designed to do that.
Did you search for the hack and do what it said?
Is the Rosemary Conley a UK region DVD?

    Check the instructions here

As for proving it - get a non-European DVD

That's assuming it's still the same model - cheap DVD players do get sourced from different suppliers

I googled "tesco value dvd multiregion" and one of the results mentioned "255" as follows

    1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
    2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
    3. Press the Next button on your remote control
    4. Press the Next button on your remote control
    5. Press the Next button on your remote control
    6. Press the Next button on your remote control
    7. The currently selected region should be displayed on the onscreen display
    8. Using the Left button on your remote control, change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 255 for multi-region playback
    9. Press the Setup button on your remote control
