  • At home on halloween with two pumpkins!! Carve "marry me" ("will you marry me?" is probably a bit tricky to carve!!) into the big one, then use a little cute squash/pumpkin hollowed out to put the ring into!!

    I love halloween!!

Delamere forest in cheshire is gorgeous in frost or snow :)
Loads of places in there to be romantic?
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
  • Have a word with my OH will you, think its about time we got hitched or is 2 kids commitment enough lol

its not really a suprise now you've got the ring. I would find it a bit false. Why not just put the ring on at the time when you chose it together?
  • I think each couple is going to be different. Some would prefer the proposal to be a complete surprise (me included) and some prefer to semi-arrange it/agree on a ring beforehand. (otherwise it might be hideous or the wrong size)

It's all equally good, whatever works for you!

I don't know if anyone will remember this, but I loved the way Aidan proposed to Carrie in Sex And The City (typical girly nonsense to mention that show, I know.) Even though she knew he was going to propose soon he still managed to surprise her.

Well, I think she is very lucky to have such a romantic husband to be :) I actually cant remember my OH ever proposing to me. I got an engagement ring but I cant remember him ever actually asking - we just seem to accept it would happen. Still, 40 years later and still together, so I guess it was ok :)
  • Thanks for all your suggestions! Think I'm going to go for a cheap BB in the Lake District with a romantic picnic basket!!
  • I think it is lovely that you still want to make it a surprise!

If you are heading to the Lakes definitely do it at night time. All wrapped up under the stars will be very romantic.
  • I think you should definitely do the romantic, moonlight picnic thing, but maybe see if the B&B staff could help you out a bit? She'll think that you're going to propose on the picnic and be all confused, but then when you get back to the room they'll be a lovely 'will you marry me?' banner or something and a bottle of bubbly on ice :)
