MSN chat and bandwidth

I chat with a friend on Msn, and we started using the 'talk facility' - he recently told me that this has taken him over his bandwidth limit (he uses mobile broadband, and only gets 5gb in the package)
Does anyone know how much bandwidth is used when talking on MSN please?
I use skype to talk as well with family, but my bandwidth limit is much higher but it would be useful to know as I don't want anyone else to be put in the same position and extra charges levied
