On the note of the broadband PAYG dongle I thought it was gonna be quite easy, like buying a PAYG mobile but it seems it isn't! I'm still looking for one that the credit doesnt expire on which is hard now from the looks of it. Had a good play with the PB now though and very impressed, very quick start up and 7 seems easy to use. Not sure if I need to really worry about increasing the RAM.0 -
you'll be lucky to get 7 hours out of the battery
I've gotone of these too - have to say I'm very happy with it as a netbook. Much more comfortable to type than my larger lappy (and I find I don't catch the pad by mistake).
Currently getting 7-8 hrs battery life£5k+ since Jul 2008.0 -

If you already have wireless in the house it goes throught the setup automatically with you when it first starts up, all you need is the key.

Nope not already got wireless in the house and do need to have internet on the move too. Can my current broadband provider change us to wireless at home?
And would I be best going to my mobile phone provider for a dongle?0 -

Your current provider is likely to be able to sort you out for wireless with a wireless router. I'd bear in mind that if you havent got a 'tie in' it might be worth looking around at the best deal to suit you, and also whether a BB dongle on contract would be better in the long run if you use more on the move.
I must admit I dont know too much about the dongel but it seems that all now involve an expiry period which I was hoping to avoid.
As regards your mobile phone provider, they may be able to assist with both the dongle and the home wireless. Competition is fierce so if you can move to another provider then it all the better for you.0 -

Very good for the price, the laptop sleeve it comes with is pretty rubbish though so Id suggest investing in a sturdier one. It's easy to use and setup, the keyboard is well laid out with a good size and the screen picture is fantastic.
To some up I'm very pleased with mine, I paid £229 for mine as it was reduced, I dont know if it is still on offer.0
