charity direct debit

I want to set up a direct debit for the rspca. how old do you need to be to have direct debits? i've got the lloyds under 19's account as my main account if that helps?

    you can have direct debits on that account, but the RSPCA sets it up, not you, you just give them your details.
  • thank you for your help mr tomato. i'll do that now. would having direct debits on my account look good for when I apply for a credit card in a few years time or does it not do anything?

    It won't matter.

    Getting a better credit ratings means you need to be given credit. So Credit Card, mobile phone, anything where you pay bills.

    Having a direct debit on your account will improve your behaviour score internally though providing they are always paid.

    make sure you actually have the money in the bank a few days before the due date . If the DD fails you can get hit with nasty charges.

    I will make sure i've got enough. I've actually got quite a bit in it as I use to use it for savings but its now my current account (never withdrew the savings).
