not suggesting it's the fastest, but rock-solid performance. :cool:0

however, the thing is to find one which best suits your line, and the DSLAM/MSAN you are connected to in the exchange. Some router chipsets don't work too well with others, as some sky customers found out when they started using the huwaei MSANs - low speeds, poor connections, etc. It may help if you can find out what your ISP use..
Along with Draytek, 2Wire HV2700 has a good reputation, especially if you're on a longer line. What are your line stats like ??......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Is there a test you can do to prove it's the router dropping the connection rather than a faulty line?0 -
I borrowed a second router and ran it for a few weeks. You find lots of people have routers hidden away in cupboards these days because of all the free ISP router offers.
Your ISP can also arrange to monitor your router for drop outs if you leave it on 24/7 but their agenda does seem to be to prove it's your problem, not theirs.
Routers are so cheap now, I do try and always have a spare in case I get these kind of problems.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
