Hmmm... strange. Never had that personally. Although I have had problems with the heuristic scanner crashing malwarebytes.

Never had a problem with the Free Malwarebytes and false positives and never read on any other forum about it either but happy to be proved wrong.

Probably the best alternative to Malwarebytes is Superantispyware. Use the "Download Latest Version" link on the right-hand side of the page.

Another recommended anti malware product is: A-Squared Free
