My scary foods are eggs and any fish thats not white, salad cream isn't something I would eat but it's not AS knee tremblingly scary (and also not as nutritionally important that I start!).

Oh I thought scary foods were things like Haggis (sorry if that's an insult Swinstie, you know I don't mean it like that!) or pigs' trotters or some sort of weird and wonderful fruit or veg? I have 'try 10 foods I've never tried before' on my list but can't think of an awful lot I'd like to try that I haven't already, also haven't decided if a meal will count or if it has to be the components I'm trying for the first time, eg, I've never tried duck a l'orange but I HAVE tried duck, so would that count?

I suppose it depends on what you want to define the rule as Tete! I would be inclined to say yes since it's a new meal, but I'm a fan of the easy option!

If I was being fussy I'd agree with Tete's version of scary food, it's not something you totally hate and would not eat, just something that seems a little odd to eat but may end up tasting quite nice, like... erm... pickled eels?!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I'm having my version as something I normally wouldn't think about eating, although I don't even think I could bring myself to try a prawn. No picked eels for me, bleurgh

Chieftan Haggis, you could try that Tete, chicken fillet stuffed with haggis (so not loads) and served with a whisky sauce - I'm making myself hungry now.

Fresh tomatoes are my scary food! But I guess things like oysters and chicken feet might go on my list... I'm working on it now :)

Just had to have two fillings - wow, I'm being a needle masochist this week! Maybe I'll get a tattoo tomorrow...

Great lists everyone. Must start one myself as there are a lot of things I want to do!

Congrats on being debt free Swinstie. Am jealous too, but delighted for you :)

Well some sad news today. The bodies of the 2 fishermen were recovered. I am glad that their wives can bury them and get some closure though. We went over yesterday to donate some money for fuel and the amount of boats that were out looking for them was unreal. What a great community they have and I am proud to come from that part of Dublin. They have raised nearly €100,000 in just over a week.

On a nicer note. I got to meet my new niece (who will also be my god daughter yay). She is absolutely stunning and tiny. I had lots of cuddles and am glad I am pregnant again because she made me incredibly broody. I am so excited for you Wendz (and Flower) after holding a newborn again!

That is really sad CMD but at least they found them so they can be laid to rest.

Lovely you got to meet your little niece, strange to believe will not be long at all till I get cuddles with mine!

Congratulations on being debt free Swinstie!

That is so sad about the fishermen, but like you say at least their families can try and get some sort of clossure now. Cant even begin to imagine how they must be feeling.
