tax credit smp disregard pay for 2008/2009

i am just hearing from this forum about 4 days ago that 1st £100 of smp is overlooked but the thing is that when i am pregnant in 2008/2009 i was not aware of this so i put all my income down for that year instead of deducting £3900 .
please what do you think i can do to claim this money back or at least to get something extra for that year in tax credit.
please advise me.

I doubt there is anything you can do about it now seeing as you would of already given your figures in for the year and your new award calculated. Im sure it does say in the booklet you get with your forms about it0

That year is likely to be finalised so no backdating would be made.0
