Hi
Google have released a new image format.
It is WebP (aka weppy).
The quality is supposed to be similar to JPG format but the file size is smaller.
So websites will load quicker if they use WebP instead.
It's possible to view the WebP files with a Mac.
But AFAIK there isn't a viewer yet for Windows or Linux.:p
A guy named antimatter15 has written a script that allows WebP files to be viewed using a browser with Windows and Linux.
It needs Firefox-4 or Opera-10.6.
I've tested it with Windows and Linux.
If you'd like to try it out there's a post here:- http://ubuntu-ky.ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10014570&postcount=91
Information from Google is here:- http://code.google.com/speed/webp/
Information about the script is here:- http://antimatter15.github.com/weppy/demo.html

Hi
There's a beta version of XnView available.
It will view WebP files.
It's for Windows and it seems to work OK with Linux and Wine.
Download it from here if you like:- http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=21031&p=87405
There are some sample WebP files here:- http://www.mediafire.com/?nx2fohy8a3hbjeeNever interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0
