Problems with a buyer

Where do I stand from threats from an eBay buyer?

She has called our company 'rip off merchants' and threatened 'contact all eBay members bidding on your
items'.

She has also started a significantly not as described dispute through eBay and lied in it stating 'he is famous for selling rubbish'.

Does the above constitute defamation of character?

I have sold her a laptop that works perfectly, which she knows her self but she doesn’t realize that to use it wirelessly she will have to enter in her wireless security settings. She has even contacted me saying it connects through an Ethernet cable, picks up the network but wont display pages (a clear indication that the security settings are missing)

Classed as auction interference by eBay.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

So far her unpleasant comments have been between you and her, so no-one else can view them. Ebay don't bother to read the dispute console.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • Paddymcc, did you sell her the machine as a business or as a private individual. If as a private sale then she has no leg to stand on, but if as a business then she has the right to return it to you - if she does it correctly. Don't forget that if she does you can charge a restocking fee. If paypal award in her favour she will have to send it back special delivery.
As for the threats, yes you could report her as interfering with your auctions and this could get her suspended or even naru'd.
