Hello,
i have a question about account upgrades, i have been banking with Lloyds now for two months, and i was looking at there added value accounts.
I have a classic account with vantage at present.
On my online banking it states:
Sorry, you cannot change to this account online. Please call us on 0845 3 000 000.
( i have not applied to upgrade, i was simply looking at the accounts, and this message is on the right hand side of the screen)
Will that change at some stage ? does everyone that opens a new account get this message ?

I've banked with Lloyds since I was 7 years old (so a verrrrrrrrrry long time!), have two Vantage accounts and no overdrafts (not even overdraft facilities) and I still get that message. However, when I've used the phone banking they've been more than happy to upgrade accounts for me (oh...and try to sell me loans, credit cards and insurance!)
You may as well give them a ring - they might be able to sort out your upgrades. But use the non-geographical number 0191 584 3713 instead - from www.saynoto0870.com0 -
i have just rang them, they have said that it should change after i have banked with them for a minimum of three months, to be honest i assumed this would be the case.
