Help needed with ariel for bedroom tv please !

My son has just brought a 27" lcd tv to replace his portable in his bedroom. Have tried 2 different ariels..picture is awful. I'm useless at anything electrical so any hints or advice would be most welcome.
The telly is a Bush so I'm sure it's to do with ariel rather than the telly !

I guess that you are trying to use an indoor aerial, unless you live very close to the transmitter I don't think tou will have a lot of luck.
Because the picture on the portable was so small you wouldn't notice the interference so much, now you have a picture maybe four times bigger it shows up a lot more.
You could try an ariel amplifier but in my case it only made the interference worse, I think your only answer is an outside/roof ariel.
I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes.

Thank you, we don't live near to a transmitter and what you have said makes perfect sense . Hubby is talking about connecting via the loft ariel (bless) but I don't even let him loose with a paintbrush !! Thanks again
