reboot and keep pressing F8 to (hopefully) get into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING
If that doest work then you probably need a new graphics card:idea:0 -
OK thank you....think it could be the graphics card.0

With the computer unplugged, take off the side panel and locate the graphics card
make sure all leads etc are firmly located:idea:0
