Hi guys
I'm currently with BT for line rental (option 1 I think - £10.50 per month) and our bills currently come in at about £12/13 including this.
I have seen a lot of threads/ads regarding 18866 and 18899, TalkTalk+, OneTel etc but wonder if there is any way of me reducing my bill (and is it worth it for the little amount I use) without leaving BT for the line rental.
The reason I think I need to stick with BT is because I have Wanadoo Broadband and it said I must have a BT line installed.
Can anyone give me some advice what is the best way of saving money in this particular area if any.

ps - I currently get FREE OFF PEAK Minutes to Vodaphone mobiles via my Vodafone but NOT to other ones.

As you say, you've not a lot to save - so it's probably not worth you signing up for either TalkTalk's Talk1+ or OneTel's LeisureUKTalk packages (both of which offer free evening and weekend calls to UK 01/02 numbers for a year).
However, as BT charge 3p/minute for daytime calls to UK 01/02 numbers and 5.5p for up to an hour in the evening and at weekends, there is some potential for saving, particularly on any daytime calls you make.
Sign up online for call18866.co.uk and then, using your existing BT line and the 18866 prefix when you dial, any call to a UK 01/02 number at any time will cost you just 1p (1p connection and 0p per minute). You might even already have a telephone with a button under which you can store that code - for use on every call.30 years, 217 days!0 -

Just how would wackojackouk - who is currently paying call charges of £1.50 to £2.50 per quarter - benefit from paying an extra £32.97 per quarter for unlimited calls?30 years, 217 days!0 -

You must admit it's slightly different from some blatant adverts0
