I can't afford 110 pound so i think il shop around anyway. It was only at the main dealer because it was due service too so that is probably when he noticed it had split.

Is there any harm in me driving it for next few weeks? im really scared that the fumes are going to damage my health :(

One headlight and indicator was smashed on impact so i think they would have been replaced but not sure. I will have to ask i guess but i hope i can get some compensation because after paying a hefty excess i am skint!

You'll be fine, it's unlikely to get inside the car at all.

wrong! any type of fumes that are emmitted under the bonnet can be distrebuted into the cabin either by a missing rubber gromet in the bulk head or through air vents. secumming to the fumes are minimal, spending all day behind the wheel you may feel some side effects like light headedness, nausia, feeling tired quicker than normal. if you are or have experienced these symptoms then do not use the vehicle untill the pipe is reattached you could make good by useing some black electrical tape allong the lengh of the pipe affected and reattach the pipes with a jubilee clip. arrowed are both oil breather pipes and inlet outlet on a 2.0 beatle but same principle on any model.

From that picture i doubt a front end crash would have damaged them, So no the repair company wouldnt have spotted them, Even
if they did they wouldnt have fixed or replaced it. It was not crash related.

How bad was the crash though? Did they replace the headlights or other light units?

was stated headlamp in the OPs post. splits n cracks do occur in pipes but saying that to repair a beetles front end the bonnet would of been up and pipes would of been notice to have been off or split, force of the impact may have dislodged a pipe and split it. but no way are they worth 110 quid! either way repair company could of replaced/repaired them on the probabilty the impact caused them to come off.
