No, simply being in the Support Group entitles someone to the EDP, so I think the £110ish figure is the correct one assuming no other income or capital held.He doesn't get high level care component so wouldn't he only get the EDP if his ESA has been granted for a year?

I would imagine the higher rate hasnt been awarded yet because the appeal was only heard last week (According to the OP) and it does take time to reach the department, it then goes on top of the pile of work that has to be dealt with, if there are outstanding overpayments the DWP may attempt to offset arrears against the overpayment and that needs to be worked out.
Its not rare for these support organisations to get things wrong so, in the absence of any absolute facts here, I am going to blame the support organisation as they are obviously lying.0
