can a litter calmed down a dog

I agree with other posters - change your vet immediately! I wouldn't trust any vet who made such an irresponsible remark! :mad:0

An ovariohysterectomy is more likely to calm a b***h down than a litter - complete removal of the ovaries and uterus and the associated hormones.
Absolutely - my mums b1tch became steadier after neutering, as she no longer had all the hormonal changes to deal with.
An over-protective dog is likely to become even more anxious and protective with pups to guard. Breeding her may well re-inforce this behaviour, not lessen it. A spey and good training is a far better bet.
It would also be incredibly irresponsible to breed from a dog with known temprement problems... do you really think its fair to send off pups that may become as challenging as yours to unsuspecting new owners?0 -
poor doggy - maybe try behavioural training & change of diet?0
