***Its Friday WHERE ARE YOU? 'chat' ***

Can't believe it. It's 11.15am and there appears to be no daily chat....so in a rare moment (I can only get on 'tinternet at the mo in this house when NONE of the other 3 students is on. How crap is that? Being sorted soon hopefully) I am going to start Chat.

Make the most of it. This could be the only time I do it for the next 6 months!

So have sent my CV off this morning for a part-time office job. About to head out the door with my two CVs for Housing Associations, Planning Consultancies, Housing Consultancies and Pubs. The news this week has seriously depressed me, particularly the 60% cut in the housing grant. Where are all these people being made redundant going to live if they can no longer afford their house.

Still no tenant :( but also a council tax exemption and a mortgage holiday so I might just about manage to limp through this if I have a part-time job.

Sorry about being so positive and upbeat folks :D *Bun pass me some PMA please*

See you later (probably in the library!)

Well done Butti for starting the thread. I was just going to do it when I saw you'd got there already :)

Well nothing done yet this morning - had a lovely chat with OH and badgered Deloittes again about my PPI, had the plumber in to look at my boiler which keeps blowing out (grrrrr)....all still in my PJs.

    Plan for the day:

Print off postage label from eBay and post boots
Take microwave in to see whether it can be fixed
Book the car in for a service
Tidy the house (that's my elephant)
Play chauffeur for DD2 and DS later

I think that's enough otherwise I'll get disheartened about how much there is to do....

    Laters taters.....
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

Afternoon. Sorry I've not been around, I've been really busy and had the lurgy and an essay due.

Butti, I agree the cuts are awful about housing, and raising the shared room age to 35 is terrible in my opinion. Especially at the same time as they're creating job cuts. Madness. Good luck with the CV drop.

Suzi, hope you get all that done!

Claire, enjoy the earring making, does that mean you're still getting loads of orders?

I've only just got up after a sleepless night, I've got the lurgy. Had an email from my tutor saying she couldn't open my essay (I double checked it was in the right format) and telling me off for submitting it late because the deadline's noon. I double checked with her that it was ok up to midnight! And all my other tutors have been fine with it, and the TMA service never says anything.

So I've come on here to try and make myself feel a bit less useless and offer help.

  • I've been to the dentist at last, got antibiotics and a referral to the hospital for wisdom tooth removal:eek: and just to scupper my money-saving efforts the coils went on my car on the way home, so it's booked in the garage for Monday, will probably be about £70  but fairly confident I can manage that without hitting the plastic :money: Now to see if I can open my gob wide enough to fit some soup in :)

    Hello

Taken the afternoon off work as my daughter was moaning she has been on her own for two weeks (off sick). I didn't tell her and when I got home she said but I have a load of things I wanted to watch this afternoon :(

Oh well, no doubt I can keep myself amused with housework and stuff!!

food shopping, and done pretty well.
Little boy just having an hour ( sounds good I could do with the same )
Printing off reading homework for my other little boy
And last had a cry for about an hour with my mum over girly things that I don't like to see with my dd friends. Hard but am a grown woman and shouldn;t let things get to me the way they do. Gonna try and dry my eyes before they come home from school.
:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling
