MSE Christmas

I make Christmas cards recycled from last years :p I cut out the pictures and then mount them on sticky pads, add a bit of glitter glue and then I have my own home made cards to give.
Does anybody else recycle or make anything to do with Christmas, please pass your tips on as I would like to have my first MSE Christmas :santa2:

I used to do that too - in fact thats how my DD caught me out on the old ' does Father Christmas really exist ' question. We made our own wrapping paper with brown paper and stamped it with Christmas images using rubber stams and added glitter glue, but I used some of it to wrap her prezzies and so she asked me how come Father Christmas has our home made paper :p always been too sharp for her own good that one :rotfl:

    thanks for the ideas :T

has anybody got any ideas for a HM Christmas Wreath

I was thinking of doing one with some of the greenery from my garden with some fir cones ( collected at a park ) and ribbons. I was going to try to tie it together somehow and put it on top of my fire place ( we dont use the fire very often )

    any suggestions ?

I saw an idea on another thread to make a wreath from monkey nuts thread onto wire and decorated with ribbon to make a nice bird feeder gift.
  • We've always been ones to use Mum's pinking shears to cut round old christmas cards to make into tags :D

Christmas preperations have already begun in the LauraJayne household, me and mum have started the cardmaking, mum's cross stitching her little fingers to the bone (me? I'm fairly laid back about sewing...just don't mention fairies ;) )

The wishlist is mostly filled in for our family....just Dad letting the side down now. Dads on the look out for xmas crackers with golf tees in lol.

So it's a ho ho homemade xmas this year :D
