To ellaborate on what the above poster has said I know of somebody personally who got into debt personally and it ain't so good.
In the short term ok it might be good buying a few hundred £ of clothing, a new laptop etc but even if you were in a secure job nobody knows whats round the corner.
I think debt must be the most stressful situation to be in I think in life. I've not been in debt much, but further on down the line it can affect a lot of important things in life.
Fair play to you paying them off in the first place as I'd expect many parents to just leave there children to it up the creek without a paddle.0 -
Not true. They're a load of eligibility criteria. It's designed for people in financial difficulty who cannot repay their debts, not those who continually run up debt because they don't know any better/refuse to accept responsibility for their own financial affairs.GreedyCheater wrote: »He needs to get a Debt Relief Order.
As hes unemployed he will automatuically qualify for one, it cost £90, but will write off ALL debts upto £15,000.
OP. you need to stop bailing him out. He's an adult and needs to start dealing with the consequences of his own actions. The more you bail him out, the more you're encouraging his behaviour.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
