Sorry, i am being a stalker on this thread :eek:. I have seen your lovely flowers and have read about your veil search and wondered if you have consider doing yourself, that way it would match your flowers?
You could check out how they are made in claires/john loo/accsserize (sp?) and then get comb/headband from boots or cheapy shop and net from local haberdashery or off cut from john loo and stitch or hot glue gun to comb and corsage of your flowers to match and cover stiching/glue? or get cheap fasinator and custermise with your flowers to match;)?

Maybe google for help guides (not that great with google so cant help there).

Either way best of luck and hope everything goes great:).

Ticklepenny just one tiny word of warning, I noticed he said you get a dvd for free and the printing is extra. It might be worth checking if you can print from the dvd as some photographers put a watermark on their photos so you have to buy the prints from them. I answered 2 free photographer ads, one said I get a dvd but could only use her printers and the dvd without the watermark would be £500! Luckily I picked door no 2, which ended up being the best thing I ever did because he did a fantasic job.

Oh and is the name of the veil you are after a birdcage veil?

Ah yes my guardian angel! They are exactly what I am looking for......apart from the price lol. I have about £8 left in the budget for this.

Awesome idea! and it fits in with the fact that I only have £8 I am going to leeds next week to meet with the photographer so afterwards I may go have a look in the Hobby craft to see if they have the bits I would need to decorate some blank hairclips. And if it goes well I will make more and sell them! Mwahahaha. I may just go into business at this rate what with everything I am learning to make lol. (PS I like stalkers )

I will be asking about the watermark (worst case scenario I have a friend who can hack code ) But he is the only person in my area (Halifax) offering free pics. I really dont want them printed I just want a DVD for me and OH to look at when we want.

Its either a Bird cage veil or a fascinator and although I have seen some of each that I like, I think I will end up making mine just because I am so fussy lol.

Bit of a whiny post. I went round to my friends house today, she will be doing my hair...now confirmed as she is awesome. (will try to upload pics tomorrow)
An aquaintance popped round and whilst I was discussing my wedding and what I have left to do, she decided to hijack the conversation and discuss her wedding. I wouldnt mind except my mate was asking me questions so she can help me out on the day. Other bint butted in on every question and went on about how amazing her day is going to be, so I asked when it was going to be.... no date set yet as she hasnt found a venue that she really likes but thinking aug 2012, ok. I then asked what her budget was....no budget set yet as she hasnt found the venue. Then I asked about guest list, oh yes she has written this and its 70 for the day do and 150 for the evening do. When I tried to suggest that she may need to be flexible dependant on her venue I was told that I didnt know what I was talking about. I eventually gave up trying to be polite and just ignored her. Eventually she turned to me and said "isnt it a bit soon to practice your hair do?" I said "no not really, I only have 48 days left." Suddenly she clocked on to the fact that I am getting married next month not in 2012 "OMG you havent got long left!" really sherlock? You think? Thats why I was discussing my wedding and having my hair done. Finally a question about my wedding..."how much are you going to spend?" so I replied £1,500 as thats how much I'm on target for. So then she starts going on that you cant possibly have a good day at such short notice with such a small budget. At this point my brain switched off completely and I refused to talk about the wedding unless she had left the room. Twit. Usually this sort of thing doesnt bother me but I had gone to my mates to have a day discussing my big day as we are all very excited. Grrrrrrr.
Sorry for the rant, peed of pregnant bridezilla.

On a brighter note I loved my hair! And I have ordered everything I need to make my own birdcage veil

Now in search of a 3 tier cake stand (not of the cupcake variety) for as cheap as possible. Once I have this I can then work out how big my cakes need to be so I can bake them and freeze them.
