As a fully paid up veggie for 17 years (vegan for some of those and still eat very little dairy/eggs) I see peta as the anarchic wing of vegetarians/animal cruelty protesters.

While I don't agree with many of their policy's I have ordered from their website and recevied free stickers before. Generally their goods don't have their logo all over it so your 'advertising' vegetarian/animal freindlyness and not peta themselves. One free sticker says 'love us not eat us' and has some cute animal pics - very child freindly.

Years ago i ordered 'why to be veggie' dvd from the vegetarian society and found that really extreme, I'd expect peta to be moreso and would NOT recommend showing this to anyone under 16 untill you had watched it yourself first. Whilst i'm all for education on this, Peta very much show the worst possible extremes.
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Replies to posts are always welcome, if they are done in the correct manner. If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you

im veggie too!! i do donate to PETA, but have to agree that they use shock tactics to show people whats happening to animals around the world. I think its important for people to see what happens to animals, but some of it is extremely upsetting - my boyfriend depairs when he sees the PETA magazine coming through the door as he knows in no time i'll be in floods of tears!!

    please explain...

When they put down animals you would think it would be a little injection and thats it like when you take your pet to the vet. They put live animals in a walk in freezer and let them die. I am big on animal rights and boycott peta.
