£67 of Tesco vouchers received in the post when I got home tonight. :j I've already placed the orders for the gift membership/magazine subscription/restaurant vouchers and have doubled up the remaning £35 to £70 worth of baby stuff. :j0

I filled the car up with petrol this morning at a cost of £45. I also need to pick up quite a few groceries tonight after work, so it's going to be an expensive day!
Still waiting for my Tesco online codes to come through so I can order the baby stuff in my basket...0 -
My grocery list was getting longer and longer, I wouldn't be able to manage it all by myself at the supermarket so I've just done an online shop instead - to be delivered on Thursday. For the first time, I used, my supermarket.com to find the cheapest options, using Quidco for £6 cashback.
After this, it leaves us with £65 to cover petrol for the rest of the month - hopefully that will be enough!0 -
Still haven't received my tesco e-voucher codes... I've emailed customer service, but goodness know how long they'll take to reply. If I haven't received them by this afternoon I'm going to give them a call.0

Just had our gas & electricity bills emailed to me - they owe us nearly £26 on the electricity account and £96.61 on the gas account - so I've requested a refund on the gas bill and left the credit on the electricity bill for now. I know it's coming up to the coldest time of year, but I'd rather nearly £100 be in our account than theirs. If we owe them money by the time the next bill's due in May, I'll either up the monthly payments or make a one-off payment. I'll leave the £96.61 in the bank account until payday and as long as we're not overdrawn by then (we shouldn't be), then I'll transfer it to a savings pot or pay it off the credit card.0

I just received the online grocery order and not best happy - 3 fresh produce items all with use by dates of today and looking worse for wear, and several items out of stock. I've phoned up and got refunds on the 'not so fresh' stuff, but it annoys me that the phone line is charged at 5p per minute - it took them 10 minutes to process my complaint! I'll have to pick up the other stuff tomorrow. Now I remember why we stopped using Mr A for deliveries a couple of years back. We will be sticking with Mr S in the future! :mad:0

I'm still here, but not much to report this week really - life potters on to pay day.
Today I am trying to work out when I'm Starting maternity leave - I wasn't planning on going back after Christmas and using up some annual leave instead, but now I think I'll work until the day before January's payday, so I at least get a full salary in January (bar one day). With a week of annual leave added in, it means I'll have roughly 3 weeks off before baby's due which I hope will be plenty!0 -
Hi DFSD
Pleased to hear you are OK. It sounds like a good idea to try to work until the end of January so you have more time when the baby arrives.
Sorry I haven't been posting; I am so busy at the moment. Trying to do lots of things and probably not doing any of them very well! Work is busy, I'm still MSing and have had lots of social things and days away which have been a nice change. I'm also trying to keep the exercise going....
Moneywise, my funds are looking rather depleted after I decided to make the last big overpayment this week (I was going to make a smaller payment a few weeks ago but the bank's system was down so I never went ahead). I have temporarily raided a few funds (like my Xmas fund) to make a start with getting things straight by the end of the year. I think things will be sorted by then and a lot simpler, so I will just have to be patient in the meantime. So my current strategy is to just keep going a bit longer and there should be enough money to tide me over until I get paid in a couple of weeks time.
Have you almost sorted out all your Xmas presents?Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000
Now: £173,2290
