Bought a beanie on ebay - it was described as mint - it didn't have tags - what options do I have?

Hi, What condition was the beanie in and did it say tags were attached in the auction?

  • To a beanie collector, mint would imply that it was in mint condition with mint tags but I guess the seller could just say that the body was mint and they didn't know about tags. Was there any photographs? Any history of selling beanies and bad feedback?

    Hi Samtheman

I have purchased many beanies off e-bay, all the ones i have had, have always said in mint condition and tags in mint condition. my boyfriend has also sold some beanies on ebay, always the same - mint condition with mint tags. Hope this helps, and hope you get a refund if you are not happy, e-bay will help if you have been misled, also if paid with paypal, they too also will help if you have been misled.

  • The beanies are in OK condition - not great. The picture did not explicitly show tags but then you can place thetags behind the ears for presentation as we do on shelves. I was taking mint to mean its Collin's english dictionary definition "in perfect condition as issued".

does the seller 'deal' in beanies?

I ask as they might not understsnd the full significance of the tag.

A wee email should clarify things.

I wouldn't have know the significance of the tag for a beanie, but probably would have stated mint condition but without tags! I do on items of clothing that are brand new etc.

  • Try having a read at Traderlist which covers all countries and lists any bad traders and/or sellers and buyers.

Another thing is were the photographs the seller's own or lifted from the Ty site? As is they were from Ty, this would certainly be misleading.
