Ok, now I understand. You have just 'joined up' to have a go. Just re-read your first post and now I can see what you are up to. Thanks for the comments, but I am sure people will make up their own minds. :rotfl:

Amazing how someone's first posts are full of such strong views. Defending outnow (what an ironic name given their titles have all been out ages),having a go at one poster, who i do not wish to judge either way but totally ignoring all the bad reviews the rest of us have read.
I am with tattybonce on this one.
  • Have just seen these rather defensive comments. I eventually received my money back - after truly awful service. And to clarify, the small print for the Groupon voucher said 'should you choose to continue' then it would be £9.99 a month. I didn't choose to. So there!!! LOL

  • Outnow unfortunately proved to be a scam !

I got the 3-month trial in November via Groupon (big mistake) and was unimpressed by the narrow range of movies and turnaround time so cancelled my trial on month 2 before it expired in writing, or so I thought!

I tried cancelling via their website and at the time that part of the website (cancellation link) was not working (early Jan)!
So I used their website "contact us" form for to send in my cancellation request and again, no one responded!
Being patient with them, I emailed them from my registered email , again nothing happened.
A month later, I find that they have charged me £9.99 via Direct Debit!
I call them up and the poor person (indian callcentre I think) was very apologetic and although he could trace one of my 2 written cancellation requests could not on the spot refund me and could only "send my request to accounts". Today, over a week later, I received an email to say that as I have not cancelled via their online cancellation process, as far as they are concerned my subscription is active! The cheek!!!
I immediately pick up the phone and call their 0844 number only to find out it goes dead after a few seconds! So, no communication possibility and the monthly payment order does not even show on my Direct Debit List online so I can cancel it this way!

How on earth are cowboys like them allowed to operate beats me!

Needless to say I have responded to them today by email as well, requesting that they contact me immediately to discuss or else, and am looking to see what else I can do as a consumer.

I have also emailed Groupon (who I could also not get on the automated phone system !...) and complained about them promoting rogue traders such as OutNow and I hope to see them either shape up or dissappear!

Hopefully, people will read the negative reviews and not waste their money on these OutNow cowboys.

    Very disappointing indeed...

I have had appalling service as well. It seems because i had the free trial with quality street, I can't join. I absolutely understand i cant have a free trial, but nothing was ever said about the gift voucher.

Despite frequent phone calls they can never help me and say someone will call me back within 48 hours, which never happens.

I also had the problem of the phone keep disconnecting.
  • Terrible experience

    Films arrived slowly/late
They seem to have no/few copies of anything popular
It is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel - I've never seen a less user friendly exit process. I have tried twice now, emailed them and to no avail.

Just going to have another go now.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TRIAL - you will barely get any DVDs and then you will have to struggle to get out of the trial.. worst groupon offer EVER.
