Todays Groupon deal seems pretty decent! £4.99 instead of £29.97 for 3 months DVD/Bluray rental. No contract.
So I don't give a refferal link just go to the link below and it will be the first offer on the page. Even though it says London I am assuming it is nationwide

The voucher must be redeemed by 30th November which means you could potentially take part in the free 2 week trial too to get 3 1/2 months although I am assuming you would need to cancel the free trial after 2 weeks

Has anyone tried Outnow before for DVD rentals? Just wondered what they were like.....0

- 1 DVD or Blu-Ray at a time
- Not valid with other offers

"only one Free Trial may be redeemed per household and a Free Trial may not be combined with any other offer, unless using a Voucher Code."
so you should be able to do trial and then the voucher.
From what i can read in the about us section, this is the same company as lidl/empire. Wonder if this means i can still use the 2 month code i got with matchmakers...0 -

Warning for anyone who bought this deal outnow.co.uk have taken £9.99 from my account this month as the 'trial' ran out. I've read the small print and it doesn't say you have to tell them you want to cancel. Very annoyed. luckily First Direct are very good and refunded me. I called outnow and it took me 4 attempts before I got their Indian call centrw. I'd already emailed them 5 times with no luck.
Save me from spending...

I generally just lurk here and don't bother posting, but I get really annoyed at stuff like this. Far be it from me to defend out now, but at least get your facts straight!
In the Billing, Charges and Automatic Renewal section of their Terms and Conditions (which is linked to at the top and bottom of every page on the site, and to which you agreed when you joined):Little_Chicken wrote: »I've read the small print and it doesn't say you have to tell them you want to cancel.
So I'm not sure which "small print" you're referring to, but apparently you didn't read the T&Cs that you agreed to.d.Your subscription will be automatically renewed on a monthly basis, without prior notice to you, unless and until you cancel your membership or we terminate it. You must cancel your membership before it renews in order to avoid billing of subscription fees.
And that would be called fraud.Little_Chicken wrote: »luckily First Direct are very good and refunded me.
I'm not saying out now are angels, but in this case at least, they played by the rules. You didn't. And then you felt it necessary to shout about it in public.
However you feel about this particular company, I'm sure even the Money Saving Expert himself would agree that if you accept T&Cs without taking the time to read them, then don't complain afterwards when the company acts in accordance to those T&Cs. What did you expect?0 -
Hhhmm - work for them do you by any chance? :money:0

Actually, no. But it would be interesting to see an official comment from them.tattybonce wrote: »Hhhmm - work for them do you by any chance? :money:
I did, however, used to run an online business, and was eventually put OUT of business by plonkers who thought it was OK to just fire off a charge-back, despite the fact that I'd done nothing wrong. "Oh, I wanted a red one, but ordered a green one by mistake. Never mind, I can get the money back." The bank never bothered discussing it with me, just took my money away, posted me a notification (for which they charged me), then left it up to me to challenge the charge-back. Now the customer's got my goods AND my money. The time and effort involved in this just wasn't cost-effective and eventually I closed up shop. So yes, I do have a little sympathy for companies who get hammered like this.0
