Spending review - current students

Hi
I'm in my 2nd year of a 4 year course at uni. I receive the grants and loans and work part time.
I'm a bit confused about the governments spending review. I know they want to cut back on university spending and money given to local councils (the council sorts out my student finance).

Will this affect existing students already on courses? I'm quite worried as i rely a lot on the childcare grant which enables i can go to uni.

Thanks.

having Just attended an HE evening at my college (applying to uni for next sept) We were told that any changes will not affect those at uni now or those applying for 2011 but will affect those starting in 2012.

    Hope this helps...
