changing the text in a url link

I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. How do I change a url link from the long sequence of letters/numbers etc into, for example "look here" etc?? I need an idiots guide, I just cannot seem to be able to work out how to do this?

Where do you want to change it? On a webpage or a forum or...?

The HTML is:

<a href="www.example.com">look here</a>

BB code (e.g. for forums) is:

[ URL="https://www.example.com&quot; ]look here[ /URL ] without spaces.

If you're looking to do it here, just highlight the text you want to be the url (e.g. look here) and click the button in the text entry box (4th from right), then paste your link into the dialogue box.

Hi,

copy your link, type whatever word you want, rhubarb, highlight it, click on link icon, wee globe with chain link and paste in box.

If you want to be fancy you can change colour and embold, rhubarb.
