Contact details for London Weighting

There really isn't such an organisation. If there was one, don't you think it might be easier to find contact details for them? And if you've spoken to them...any chance your workmates were pulling your leg?
I was going to put a link up, but debsy got there first.0 -
Please read my link I posted above. There is no organisation called "London Weighting", it's the name of an allowance paid to workers to cover the high cost of living in London. I receive "London Weighting" as part of my pay from the NHS. If you are entitled to it from your employer then it would be covered in detail in your employment contract, mine is a % of my yearly salary and based on whether I work in Inner or Outer London.ITV Winners Club #87 :eek:0

The HR department of the company employing you decides if they will pay people in London extra.
And it isn't just London. I used to pay people an "Island's allowance".
But this comes out of the employer's pocket. There is no government agency paying out to people who work in London. Think of it as a shift allowance - an extra payment made under certain circumstances, but all from the employer.
If you think you are owed money, you need to go back to the people/ agency who hired you for the job.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Looks like you have been the victim of what's known as a 'wind-up'.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
OP, don't let the previous posters put you off.
The London Weighting Company does exist. The MD is actually quite reknowned (if a tad elusive).
His first company was Elbow Grease Incorporated. When he sold that he went on to create The Tartan Paint Company.
I hope you can track him down and pass his contact details on because I'm still waiting to find out why my tartan paint hasn't enabled me to redecorate the bathroom in the Royal Stewart tartan of my ancestors. People keep telling me it's just a sluddgy red - but what do they know, after all I am 8540th in line to the throne whereas they are just oiks descended from pig farmers.0 -
It seems there was a body called the London Weighting Advisory Panel that was set up by the London Assembly in 2002 - is this what you were thinking of? If so it also shut down in 2002 having served its purpose.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0

I am the HR for the company I work for, and still I've never heard of such an organisation. How do they decide who gets it? Well if you are based at the 'London'-ish office then you get it. No-one tells us who does and doesn't get it, WE decide and also decide how much it's worth.0
