Address Book & Contact List Probs?

Hi,
First time on this board so be gentle lol
I have lost my contact list on microsoft messenger live & also my address book in outlook express.Wierd. I installed that kapersky free virus thing that was mentioned somewhere on this site & i was impressed with how easy it was to work but since installing it all the above has happened.So i uninstalled it seeing as it looks like it has something to do with aol.They are not one of my fav providers. I would like to think I am not a novice on the pc but can understand some stuff better than other stuff but this has me wacked. I uninstalled messenger etc but still no joy.
Any ideas

I logged in last night and my messenger contacts were all gone, however a quick google and its sorted. I had to go to the tools menu in messenger, options and privacy. In the right hand pane all my contacts were there. I simply highlighted the contact, right click and added them back to muy contacts.

No joy with any of those. Will keep looking for a cure though.

have you tried a search in all folders for

.wab for the outlook

the messenger live thing appears to be a server issue although this was a while ago, you may want to uninstall it and install it again to see if this clears the problem

Hi,
I did uninstall it completely but no joy startrekker. I looked up the wab after doing a search via start/run & there were quite a few but none of them had the info i lost, so i guess i will just have to admit defeat. thanks for trying to help though, its appreciated.

but try this here for the address book one last time

search for
*.wab note the * and hopefully we can find that addy book
