Looks like there isn't a lot you can shave off that! Think you mentioned the reasons for such high groceries expenditure? Do you buy 'value' brands?0

Hi Ollie!
My £240 grocery budget includes nappies and all other baby related stuff. Will be a challenge to stick to it but I am determined! Luckily DS is still breastfeeding so saving on the formula (for now
).
I do try to buy value brands as much as possible. I also buy online mostly as I can keep tabs on the grand total, I hate nasty surprises when you get to the checkout.
Food shop arrives this afternoon. I bought stuff to make chocolate rice crispy cakes instead of buying sweets (Smart Price Cornflakes :money:!) - should be easy enough. You can't burn them or anything so I should be fine :rotfl:
Forgot to list on ebay yesterday so will need to do it today.
Oh yeah and Tidy up!! House is a tip!

Have you considered contacting Sky to see if you can get a cheaper combined phone line, broadband and tv package?Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Hi Moomoo - Thanks for reading. I did consider this but it was working out more or less the same when I contacted them so I decided to stick with AOL (less hassle). Will keep a beady eye on the package deals though to see if anything changes.

Asda shop delivered - made crispy cakes with DD (Mr Ramsay and Mr Oliver watch your backs!...:rotfl:). Actually they don't look that bad - might be a bit more adventurous next week
.
2 more items listed on Ebay - slow and steady wins the race mind..
Off to raid the freezer to see whats for tea.

Thanks for the Thanks and your doing good with those surveys but the novelty does wear off after about 5 years of doing them.
Keep plodding and you will get there, don't forget to budget for the dreaded C word thats coming up.

Pennywise:j !! Welcome aboard my ship!
You have absolutly no competition in the MSE chef stakes as yours truley is in a word....... poop! My OH wears the oven gloves in this house embarrassingly enough :rotfl: . I'm all for learning though - if it helps save the pennies!
I know what you mean about the surveys becoming a bit tedious - I'm already starting to feel it - it's nice to see the end results though! OH keeps giving me rows for doing them all the time and neglecting the babies
- He so needs to get his priorities right! :rotfl:
