Problems with Egg plc

Hi
Having problems with Egg failing to respond to my letters. I commenced token payments 2 months ago and they are still charging me interest in excess of £150 per month, plus late payment charges and over limit charges, it really is crazy.
I had previously written a letter of complaint regarding their continual telephone hounding and as per NDL's advice, had requested business to be conducted in writing. Eventually they agreed to stop and said that my CASHflow forecast I had sent them would be passed back to Collections. Well, that was back at the end of August, since then, I have made 2 token payments and received 2 online statements, both showing my token payments received but
huge charges are still being applied. I wrote to them again following the 18 September statement and again three weeks after that having had no response. Since finding that the statement dated 18 October has also got charges applied I don't know what to do next. They sent one letter about 2 weeks ago saying to ring them urgently to discuss the account. I have told them verbally and in writing until I am blue in the face that I wish to conduct business in writing as per guidelines etc etc. What do you do with these people? Is there an Egg rep that roams these boards that anyone is aware of. They are the only one of my creditors that have failed to stop interest charges (which has already been pointed out to them). Thanks for any advice

personally id find out who the MD of egg is and write to him with your complaint, hopefully going direct to the top will get some action.
barry stamp is (i think) the name you want0 -
unfortunately they are not obliged to stop interest or charges
are you using CCCS or Payplan or a recognised DMP organisation
when did you last use the egg card before defaulting?0 -
Not that it helps but I have found Egg to be the least helpful and most incompetent of all the banks I have accounts with I think you should find the name of a senior manager and send a recorded letter and hopefully then you will get a reply.0

Good evening, thanks for your responses. The card was last used in early April this year, first default was for the payment that had been due in mid-June. My limited company finally had to cease trading mid-May and that's when things started to go ***'s up for me.
I have been dealing with National Debtline and was CASHflowed by them late August, I sent Egg a copy of my CASHflow proposal
3 September. Previously, I had already complained that telephone collections department were harassing me, letters being ignored etc etc. The response from customer relations looked quite promising at first, they agreed to stop the calls and deal in writing. They said that when my cashflow was acknowledged they would stop interest and charges. So, they have now had the proposal for 7 weeks but have not acknowledged it, nor are they answering my follow up letters asking why no response.
In the last letter written from customer relations the guy said he considered the matter now closed and that any further responses from myself would not be responded to, he closed by saying I had the usual 6 months to refer to FOS and that I should now deal direct with Egg Collections which I have been trying to do, but obviously to no avail.
I will check out Barry Stamp and try to take this higher, thanks for that. Tabs0
