Small Business = Cheaper Car

Hi,
I have just spoken with Peugeot dealer and he said that if I was a small business then he could offer me a discount(aprox £3591 14% :j ) on a car we are thinking of buying and we'd get 0% finance on it aswell. :rotfl:
The thing is that i'm not a small business but 3 of Brother-in-laws are. :T
Now my question is that is it worth me setting up a small Bussiness in paper just to buy the car?? If i did setup my own business then what are the things that i would need to do during the year, becuase it's not going to be used for anything. Even the finance doesn't have to go through the business, I just have to have a letterhead proving that i have small business( I think that it has to be a registered business).
I'm really tempted to set it up as I hope to become a IT contractor within the next 12 months or so. Or i could just ask on of my bro-in-laws to buy the car(register it in there name, we take the finance) then transfer the car to us, which means it will have 2 owners??
Anyways what do you folks think??

https://www.broadspeed.com are offering a full UK 407 V6 GT for £19078 - a full £5400 off list price and it will come from a uk dealer, and thats with no requirement to have a small business.0

Try Pat Lawless at Carfile: http://www.carfile.net/default.asp
I've used them before - excellent deals and very friendly. They often feature in What Car as the best broker.0 -
Not sure that I will get the 0% finance, via Peugeot, that i'm looking for if i was to go through this company. I have put in an enquiry though to check.pgilc1 wrote:https://www.broadspeed.com are offering a full UK 407 V6 GT for £19078 - a full £5400 off list price and it will come from a uk dealer, and thats with no requirement to have a small business.

With Broadspeed, the Peugeot dealer who can sell for that price contacts you and arranges it from there, therefore you may well be able to swing a finance deal too as you are still buying a uk from a uk dealer....0 -
Are you sure it is a "real" discount? Or are they inferring that the car would cost 14% less if your were a business on the basis that they think you could reclaim the VAT charged? (which is a common error!). I have heard this before from some unscrupulous car salesmen. Otherwise there is no reason why they should charge less and the 14% is suspiciously close to the amount of VAT if you work backwards from the VAT inclusive selling price. Just a thought!!!0

I really hope that is possible as they car way cheaper than anywhere else espically considering you don't have to prove that you are a business. Anyway I have spoken to broadspeed and they guy said he would get back to me.pgilc1 wrote:With Broadspeed, the Peugeot dealer who can sell for that price contacts you and arranges it from there, therefore you may well be able to swing a finance deal too as you are still buying a uk from a uk dealer....
Carfile do not import cars, they fax there speicfic Peugeot dealer who then contacts you, so it a pukka UK car.pgilc1 wrote:Are their cars not imports though?Pennywise wrote:Are you sure it is a "real" discount? Well I spoke to the salemans at the dealers again this monring to make sure that I wasn't get a mixed message. He clearly said that if i was registered company and could provide a letterhead with a directors name on it I would get the discount and the 0% finance on the deal, without getting the finance through the company, and the price was including VAT.
We have just done a test drive on the car at another peugeot dealers and the sale guy there said that if we got the small business discount then he couldn't do the 0%, I not sure how the other Peugeot salesperson is swinging but he is.
Thanks
