I want a cheap 8gb MP3 player

I'm looking for an MP3 player to go travelling with, ideally one that takes batteries rather than needing recharging and with a shuffle function.
Any ideas where to get one?
Most of the ones I've seen are colour/touch screen, I'm not interested in things like that, just something to play music.

The first one is the only one that requires a battery.
REDDMANGO ANGORA 8GB MP3 PLAYER - £12.99 + £1.99 Argos eBay Outlet and requires 1 x AAA battery (supplied)
Philips Black and Silver GoGear Raga 8GB MP3 Player - £29.99 Argos } also available in red
SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 8GB MP3 Player with Radio and Expandable MicroSD/SDHC Slot - Black - £38.99 Amazon
You can also purchase a 3 Pin USB Power Wall Plug for the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ from Amazon if you think you'll need one. These cost £1.98.0 -
Thanks for that, the reviews on the cheap one don't look good, and I need it for travelling, which is why I wanted a battery one. I'll keep looking, they were all the rage a couple of years ago, but not any more.0

Didn't think that one would be much good to be honest. Sorry I can't be of help otherwise.0

Thanks for looking, i reckon a trip to the secondhand shops might get me one, but not an 8gb.0

Whatever you choose, check out the reviews first.
I bought a cheap one online a few years ago: hardly any battery life at all and awkward controls. Gave up very quickly!0 -
Forgot to say: I bought my current one in Argos. Was a decent £80 Sony one, but down to HALF PRICE! Look for offers ...0

I found the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ I had didn't last very long with regards to batteries when playing the radio. I doubt very much it lasts 15 hour as it says on the box, in fact I think it only lasts maybe half that. Not sure about playing mp3s though as it broke down not so long ago, didn't get round to returning it either.

4GB battery operated player from Play £16 including delivery. One review complains that the instructions are rubbish. If you want 8GBs buy two...

Sansa clip - how to get it for free if you like audio books: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2764798
I got one of these recently (and just bought another two to use my free £50 voucher). Used it on a succession of flights (2 hrs, then 12 hrs), after fully charging - it did not run out, even when I fell asleep listening.
I also got the plug charger mentioned above, and a portable battery too, as a backup battery, but did not find I needed it, so can't tell you whether or not it worked. Anyway, it was this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000UUSUVQ/ref=oss_product0
