I have always found our Next courier to be excellent. Goods some when they say they will - occasionally the courier comes a day early or am instead of pm, but she doesn't just leave them - she comes back at the promised time instead.

Now Laredoute are a different story.

Once, they came on the wrong day at the wrong time and then proceeded to break the cat flap in my back door by trying to squeeze a large parcel through it - I don't even have a cat and the cat flap was locked closed - well broken and needed replacement.

On other times, they have left the parcels in some weird places (never leave a card saying where or even that anything has been left) - it's like a treasure hunt! It's been under the toddler's sand pit lid, under a plastic cover on the garden furniture, behind plants, behind the wheelie bins (even in an empty wheelie bin once), in the garden shed, under the car in the drive. The amount of times we have accidentally found something whilst playing/gardening is unbelievable. It's always a different courier - they always deny it was them last time. Customer services ignore our complaints. It can't be that difficult to come when at the agreed time. It's not as if we are both out all day - in fact, one of us is in most of the time. It is clear they come once only, when they feel like it, and leave it, rather than trying again.

From my experience, I can only assume that the Next courier is somehow "properly" looked after in terms of working conditions and pay, whereas Laredoute must be one of those outfits that treats its employees/couriers with indifference and suffers high turnover as a result.

I arranged conection with BT and they gave me a choice of AM or PM but said the engineer would call (yeah right, I thought) so I booked the whole day off work (having booked an AM appointment). The engineer phoned me at 11am and said he would be there in 1/2 and hour and he was!!

I was really impressed. I work less than 1/2 hour away from home so I could have just had 1 hour off work and made the time up. It's a shame more companies don't offer this service.

Littlewoods couriers are bad too. I ordered a 'ready to wear' dress, which should have arrived in pristine condition on a coat hanger in a suit bag.

I wasn't home when the item was delivered, so the courier rolled it up very tightly and pushed it through the letter box

It certainly wasn't 'ready to wear' when I found it :(
Here I go again on my own....

I just got my British Gas renewal through the other day & it said they now have a new "10-2" slot for engineer calls as well as the other slots. A big improvement in my opinion.

Another thing that bugs me is I have had deliveries left in my wheelie bin-they don't smell too good after several hours in there with my daughters nappies
