Can anyone advise me if there is a website/program to prepare and print out badges - i.e. birthday ages "I am ....."etc.

If you just want to print out messages in different fonts inside different shapes, wouldn't any wordprocessing or desktop publishing package do?

It would probably easier to buy a badge making machine and do it yourself, then offer your services to other parents for a suitable renumeration.

You can design them on any manipulation program, I prefer Photoshop.
