A thread I got involved with a week ago has motivated me to look at converting some 8mm & super 8 cine onto DVD.
It’s expensive to get done professionally and I don’t really need professional results. so I’ve bought a multi format projector and optical converter box. I’ve also borrowed a video camera.
I’ve little or no experience with cine or video but I’m assuming I can stream the video camera into my pc via USB and convert to VOB for DVD.
The video camera I’ve borrowed is NTSC (from a mate just back from the US) but it has USB out so I’m hoping that won’t matter.
I’m a blank canvas and haven’t done too much research yet (other than splashing out 50quid on ebay). Any tips would be gratefully received.

Well I didn't get much help. I guess most people on here are under 50 (as am I).
I seem to have got some results though and had a great time playing with and old projector.
Anyone suggest the best way to convert AVI to DVD format?Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
