u do need a high powered electric one but i would of thought any electric one would be ok, i did originally buy a cheapo one from asdas which wasnt bad but the bullet i have now is much better and does a lot more things

maybe u could give the hand one to someone as a xmas present??

Have just got someone to buy an electric mill for my birthday so that's free!

I now can't get the pesky linseeds out of the hand grinder mechanism to give it a good clean. When wet they seem to become like glue!! Might have to chalk this one up to experience (or start drinking coffee???!)...

Thanks everyone for your help and advice.

My new Krups coffee mill arrived and it grinds linseeds to a fine powder in seconds. I'm so pleased and don't feel so bad about the money i wasted on the hand grinder now!!

Would definitely recommend this product for the job!
  • The coffee grinder has very limited use when using nuts. The oil from the nuts clogs the blades. I've tried a hand grinder, that had a little more success, but the oil issue is still there. I've gone back to the old fashioned way....slow & tedious but it works.
