child benefit, child tax credits. Also contact CSA.0

Possibly Income Support, Child Tax Credit, and Child Benefit.
I would suggest you give CAB a call. They should be able to tell you and give you the information you need to apply for any benefits.
Sorry I can't be more helpful but under 18s are a special category for some benefits.0 -
Is she in education?0

The child support she will receive from the father will not impact her means tested benefits.0

no she has just left school and her boyfriend is living with his grandmother at present and is unemployed0

So she's not exactly a single Mum then is she?
Month old baby + boyfriend installed elsewhere does not a single Mum make.
The boyfriend should be putting in for a joint claim for both of them...or errr, getting a job obvs.0 -
She can also go to connexions and they will advise her of her entitlement.
Is she planning to move in with said boyfriend or stay at home with mum?Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -

As long as she does not live with her boyfriend she is classed as a single mum.
She will need to go to her local job center and they can give her the information she needs.
It will be easier for her to finish her education now and she will get help with childcare.
I had my daughter at 17 and she is now 6. she will be able to claim income support, child benefit (which almost everyone gets) and child tax credits.
she will get about £120ish a week. For her education she will need to go to a college , she should look now as the places for courses and child care go fast. But there is help for her and there is more now then when she is older. She may also be able to get a another grant for education (designed to help with course fees books trips etc) depending on where you live.0
