Help....
Me and my partner earn a total of around £35k a year we have a wonderful 1 year old little boy,
We were originally told we where underpaid by the tax credits so they gave us a couple of payments for the new year that were around £140, and no we dont get anything as they messed up.
Childcare costs amount to around £360 a month, my partner works 37 hours a week and I am self employed??
Is this right that we get nothing ??
Thanks in advance

Putting figures into the online calculator - 2 adults, 1 working 37 hours a week, 1 working full time hours, earning £35,000 a year combined, 1 child, average weekly childcare costs of £80 a week - it said you should qualify for approx £1500 for the year.
It depends though how much they paid you, if you were overpaid in the previous years etc.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

I put you down in the calculation as working 29 hours (below the 30 hour element) and 30 hours (above it) and it had no affect on the results, so it would appear you should have received approx £1500 for the year.
Have you got a copy of the award notice for 2010-2011? How much did they calculate on there? I would query it with them and ask why you aren't receiving anything and how they have done their calculations.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61
