It was a good :j freebie:j day today. I've been saving up points at Boots all year and now I'm starting my xmas shopping. So with points I bought:

Tea Hamper for my nan - £10.00
Manicure set for my step daughter - £8.00
Hot chocolate hamper for my inlaws - £18.00

and non of them cost me a penny :T

Then a woman stopped me in the street to do a market research survey on chocolate and for doing it I got a free Mars bar.

Then I went to Tesco and spent about £6.00 in there.

So today's purchases only cost me £6.00  :j  :j

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Evening. Argh bad day. £78 on shopping but that included some Xmas presents to put away as starting early. £7 on lunch (for 3) decided to be lazy. £6 at local shop inc sons magazines, things like toothpaste and bleach I forgot from shopping. But I have done no spend for a few days, and I haven't been grocery shopping apart from bits and pieces for 3 weeks.
One day I might be more organised...........

I'm not well, so I shopped online today and will sit back and wait for it to arrive tomorrow evening. I spend a lot less that way too, Just over £30 and no impulse buys!
But then, I had to go out after all, to get my mum's shopping.... and happened upon some heftily reduced chicken portions, so bought 3 packs for the freezer, and treated myself to one of those nice slowcookers for £9.98. (my old one was too big for the two of us, and will be freecycled).

Have also spent £500 of OH's money on loose covers for 2 sofas - but it's OK, he knows about it, and as it's not my money it doesn't really count does it?

  • Hiya all! First time posting on this thread
Have been keeping a lil' black book about how much I'm spending - never realised before how much rubbish I buy. Nor how much it costs me!
Am now thoroughly addicted to this site - great to have somewhere to shout "I've not spent a penny today!" without someone thinking I'm wierd! LOL
